Renovation of Apartment in Koukaki

The main objectives of this project were the radical change of the space’s layout and the reorientation of the apartment towards the rock of the Acropolis. The original apartment was a typical 1970s residence.
We chose to preserve the old wooden floors as a reference to the previous layout.
Architectural and lighting plans were carried out, taking into account the escapes reflected on the floor, beams and columns. The new design renders the old together with the new, creating the impression of an inseparable bond. At the same time, it enhances the geometry of the space by supporting the new floor plan.
